Our first big ‘away game’ to the Central West went smashingly well!

We’re off to Dubbo!

On our first day we had a lovely visit to Cowra, including lunch (with scones, jam and cream) at the Japanese Gardens, and a town tour taking in the Peace Bell, the POW Camp and the Visitors’ Centre. Dinner was in the Xmas room at the absolutely fabulous Montrose House in Canowindra, owned and operated by the equally fabulous Tommy Jeff.

On Day 2 we travelled via The Dish in Parkes (including lunch with scones, jam and cream) to Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo. Our sensational stay in an Animal View glamping tent included private tours behind the scenes and African inspired cuisine. On Day 3 we enjoyed the rest of the zoo (including lunch with scones, jam and cream) and visited Old Dubbo Gaol.

Ssshh… We’re hunting winos! Playing silly buggars at Dubbo Zoo…

We had a great tour of the Royal Flying Doctor Experience on our way out of Dubbo towards Orange on Day 4. Morning tea with Alf and Sharon at the Banjo Paterson Museum (including lunch with scones, jam and cream) was followed by an Indigenous Cultural Adventure in Molong with the smiley Gerald Power.

On our last day, we did a hot lap of Mount Panorama in Bathurst, before a visit to Mayfield Garden in Oberon, which proved to be one of the highlights of the tour, ranking up there with the zoo! No scones, jam and cream today!

Our Dubbo tour proved quite popular, so we have scheduled another departure for 2 May 2021. Our slightly tweaked itinerary will include two nights at Dubbo Zoo. There are only four seats left, so get in quick! To hold your seat, we take a $100 deposit, with the balance due 30 days prior.

Spring 2021 will also see more ‘away games’ with a silo art trail tour taking in Echuca and Beechworth, and a spring gardens tour of the Blue Mountains and Central West.

We hope you can be part of our adventures next year, and we look forward to hearing from you soon!
