Your Itinerary

Day 1 – Canberra to Thredbo

Morning pick-up from your Canberra accommodation. Cruise through the Monaro plains and into the high country, in time for lunch in the Snowy Mountains, at Australia’s highest distillery. After lunch you have the option of a 1hr Segway experience, or a 6km walk along the peaceful Thredbo River, before checking into your mountain lodge accommodation in the picturesque alpine village of Thredbo. Enjoy some local wine, cheese and nibbles before dinner at the lodge.

Day 2 – Kosciuszko National Park

Today we hike into the Australian Alps, to Targangal (Mt Kosciuszko); the highest point on the Australian mainland (13km return). You will see unique alpine flora, enjoy 360 degree views from the top of Australia, and experience the dramatic vistas and rock formations that are unique to the main range. This evening, enjoy dinner in Thredbo village, and relax back at the lodge…

Day 3 – Thredbo to Green Cape

Today we have an early start for the drive from altitude to sea level, through the stunning South East Forests National Park. We arrive in Eden on Twofold Bay in time for lunch, before heading south into Ben Boyd National Park. We arrive at Green Cape Lightstation in time for an intriguing commentary on the history of the lighthouse and surrounds. Dinner and drinks are in the heritage listed lightkeepers’ quarters where we will be staying for the night.

Day 4 – Green Cape to Tathra

This morning we hike a 9km section of the magnificent coastal Light to Light Track, with a refreshing swim and sumptuous gourmet picnic lunch at the end of the walk. On our way north after lunch, we will stop at a secret location for a 2hr guided “Magical Oyster Tour”! We check in to our stylish beach house accommodation before dinner at one of our favourite local eateries.

Day 5 – Tathra to Narooma

This morning we have the option of a 2 hour guided stand-up-paddleboard (SUP) experience, or just enjoying wonderful Tathra on foot or by bike. After lunch overlooking the ocean, we head north through Mimosa Rocks National Park and visit the colourful village of Tilba, including a stop at a boutique Aboriginal art and craft gallery. Our destination is the beautiful fishing township of Narooma, where we can stretch the legs on a secluded beach, before dinner at a seaside restaurant with views to Montague Island.

Day 6 – Narooma to Canberra

This morning we have the option of a 2 hour guided kayak experience on the Tomaga River, or a relaxing coastal walk. Lunch is on the picturesque Clyde River in Batemans Bay, before we make our way back to Canberra via the historic village of Braidwood.
