Terms and Conditions
When you make a booking with Gang Gang Tours Pty Ltd (ACN 612628878), you agree to have read and accept the following terms and conditions.
All advertised dates, itineraries and prices are valid until 31 March 2018.
To travel with us, international guests will need comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation, and that includes the highest level of medical cover available. You will need to show it to the guide before you board the bus.
Payment and cancellation policy
A booking deposit, plus the cost of any optional activities, plus a single supplement if applicable, are paid at the time of booking. The balance of the base tour cost is payable 45 days prior to departure. If a booking is made within 45 days of the departure date, full payment will be required at the time of booking.
Our tours require extensive planning, coordination and costs, as well as advance bookings of accommodation and activities. In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your tour with us, the following cancellation fees will apply:
Bookings cancelled more than 45 days prior to departure – $200 administration fee (Altitude to Sea Level) or $100 administration fee (The Sapphire Coast and the Snowy Mountains Hydro Majestic)
Bookings cancelled less than 45 days prior to departure – 100% of base tour cost, plus any payment received for optional activities, plus single supplement if applicable.
Notice of cancellation must be received in writing and must be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. Transferring to another tour date will be treated as a cancellation if we cannot fill your seat.
Our scheduled tours require a minimum of four persons to run.
In the extremely unlikely event that a tour is cancelled by us, you will receive a 100% refund of any monies paid to us, and we will make every effort possible to help you find an alternative holiday experience for the period of the cancelled tour.
Any information we collect from you, will only be used for the purpose of providing our tour product to you, and will be kept confidential. We may use your email address in the future to let you know about new Gang Gang Tours products. Gang Gang Tours has been declared a “GoPro free zone”.
Health, fitness and medical conditions
Any pre-existing medical conditions must be disclosed at the time of booking, and a Confidential Application and Medical History Form will be emailed to you; to be completed prior to departure. We may request further information and/or a medical clearance to travel (at your expense), before your booking is confirmed.
Our Altitude to Sea Level and Sapphire Coast tours are designed for people with at least a moderate level of fitness. The longest walk included in our Altitude to Sea Level tour is 13km long (variable according to weather), at altitude, over uneven ground, and includes steep inclines. If you feel that your fitness level is not adequate for this type of activity, you should disclose this at the time of booking, as we may be able to offer shorter, self-guided activities. For health and safety reasons, and for the enjoyment of other guests, we reserve the right to refuse your booking if we deem your health and/or fitness not adequate for this type of tour.
Our Snowy Mountains Hydro Majestic tour will suit guests of all fitness levels, however, our guests’ mobility should be adequate to board and disembark our mini-bus (two steps with handrails available) and negotiate a few steps at some locations.
Gang Gang Tours is a non-smoking tour operation.
Change of itinerary
From time to time, travel routes, activities, accommodation and scheduling may have to be changed with little or no notice due to, but not limited to, events such as inclement weather, road works, natural disasters, operational issues, accidents, or other unforeseen circumstances. In these instances, no refunds will be offered, nor is Gang Gang Tours liable for any cancellation fees incurred from connecting services.
Our optional activities are conducted by third parties, and require minimum numbers to run. If minimum numbers are not met for a particular activity, payments received for that activity will be refunded, and an alternative activity will be offered.
Green Cape Lightstation
The accommodation in the Lightkeepers’ quarters at Green Cape Lightstation can only be guaranteed on the last tour date of each month. This heritage listed accommodation is very popular, and a long lead time is required to guarantee availability. Every effort will be made on every tour to secure this accommodation, but if it is not available, then an alternative of equal quality will be provided.
Acceptance of risk
Your safety and comfort are our highest priority. However, our Altitude to Sea Level and Sapphire Coast tours are outdoor, active and nature based, which inherently carry more risk than some other types of tours. All of our guests participate in our tours at their own risk, and Gang Gang Tours can accept no responsibility for any loss, accident, illness or injury incurred by you. All guests will need to sign liability waivers before they can board the bus.
Limit of liability
To put together our tours, we work with a number of other quality businesses, who also have your safety and comfort as their number one priority. Some of these providers may also require you to sign a liability waiver before participation. Gang Gang Tours takes no responsibility for any act of neglect by these providers or their agents that may result in loss, accident, illness or injury to you.
Authority on tour
Guests must abide by any direction given by the tour guides regarding their behaviour and/or actions. This is especially important in National Parks, in or near a body of water, and in any area with elevated and/or particular risks and hazards, as deemed by the tour guides. Failure to abide by the tour guides’ direction may result in denial of onward travel with no refund. This also pertains to any behaviour or action, as deemed by the tour guides, to be negatively impacting on the safety and or enjoyment of another guest or guests.
