As many of our guests are already aware, our regular touring season is from October to April each year. As the situation with COVID-19 travel restrictions evolves, we are very hopeful that we will be able to run all of our scheduled tours for the 2020/21 season.
We are in touch with all relevant government agencies to keep abreast of rules governing our operations, as well as that of our accommodation, activity and food providers.
Of course, in this new world order, there will be a few small changes to our operations.
Firstly, our tours will continue to have a maximum of 8 guests on board, but we will now travel in a 22 seater Toyota Coaster! This will give us adequate space to abide by physical distancing regulations for coach travel.
Prior to departure, we will require our guests to complete a Passenger Health Declaration Form. This will include questions about recent contact with someone diagnosed with, or suspected of having COVID-19, as well as your recent travel and health status. All guests will also have their temperature taken with an contact-less thermometer.
Any guest who presents as unwell or with flu-like symptoms at the start of the tour will not be allowed to commence their journey with us. In this instance, we will provide the guest with a face mask and hand sanitiser and assist with arrangements to safely return the guest to their accommodation and access to medical advice.
If a guest develops flu-like symptoms during the journey, the guest will be isolated from other passengers and staff, provided with a face mask and hand sanitiser, and transported to the nearest major town for medical testing and/or treatment.
We expect that you, our guest, will stay up to date with the latest information about COVID-19 and the appropriate action you should take to ensure your safety and the safety of others. Please take the time to read the advice and latest updates here from the Australian Federal Government. We will also ask that every guest bring with them, a washable face mask and personal bottle of hand sanitiser.
We will be cleaning the tour bus every day as per usual, as well as disinfecting ‘high touch’ contact points (e.g. handrails, seatbelts, luggage handles) regularly. Your guide will be adhering to the highest standards of personal hygiene in their interactions with you and when handling your luggage. We will have a supply of face masks, disposable gloves, antiseptic wipes and hand sanitiser on board and available to you at all times.
We strongly suggest that all of our domestic guests have travel insurance that covers cancellation. Please see our Terms and Conditions page for details of our cancellation policy.
Stay well, stay happy, and we look forward to seeing you on board soon!
Our warmest regards,
Jeff and Janine
