Gang Gang Tours are in touch with all relevant government agencies to keep abreast of rules governing our operations, as well as that of our accommodation, activity and food providers. We have a detailed COVID-19 Safety Plan and we are a COVID Safe business.
As always, our guests’ safety is our number one priority. If at any point we feel that the COVID situation in or near our area of travel is too precarious, we will cancel a tour, possibly at very short notice. Please see our Terms and Conditions here for our COVID cancellation policy.
Our group size will generally be between 8 and 12 guests, and we will be travelling in a 22 seater Toyota Coaster. There are currently no physical distancing or mask wearing regulations for coach travel in most states (excluding Qld and SA), but of course our guests can wear masks on board for their own comfort if they wish. We will be encouraging physical distancing at all venues wherever practicable. Staff and guests will abide by the QR check-in, physical distancing and mask wearing regulations of each state or territory as they apply at the time of each tour.
By law, only fully vaccinated guests, or those with a valid medical exemption, will be allowed to travel. You will need to show proof of your vaccination status before you board the bus. Here is the link to Services Australia which shows you how to get proof of your vaccination status.
Guests will need to complete and sign a Covid-19 declaration before boarding the bus which will include information such as;
* Assurance that a nasal Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) provided a negative result the day before departure.
* The guest is not experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms such as runny nose, sore throat, headache e.t.c.
* If the guest experiences any cold or flu-like symptoms whilst on tour, the guest will inform the driver or guide immediately.
* If a guest experiences cold or flu-like symptoms within 7 days of returning home, they will notify Gang Gang Tours immediately.
Any guest who presents as unwell or with flu-like symptoms at the start of the tour will not be allowed to commence their journey with us. In this instance, we will provide the guest with a face mask and hand sanitiser and assist with arrangements to safely return the guest to their accommodation and access to medical advice.
If a guest develops flu-like symptoms during the journey, the guest will be isolated from other passengers and staff, provided with a face mask and hand sanitiser, and transported to the nearest major town for medical testing and/or treatment.
We expect that you, our guest, will stay up to date with the latest information about COVID-19 and the appropriate action you should take to ensure your safety and the safety of others. Please take the time to read the advice and latest updates here from the Australian Federal Government. We will also ask that every guest bring with them, washable or disposable face masks, two RATs, and personal bottle of hand sanitiser.
We will be cleaning the tour bus every day as per usual, as well as disinfecting ‘high touch’ contact points (e.g. handrails) regularly. Your guide will be adhering to the highest standards of personal hygiene in their interactions with you and when handling your luggage. We will have a supply of face masks, disposable gloves, antiseptic wipes and hand sanitiser on board and available to you at all times. Our air conditioner will always be circulating fresh air through the bus.
